A long, sumptuous stockinette cowl featuring a triangular insert of ribbing and traditional Shetland lace. Can be worn as a single loop or doubled for extra warmth.

Finished Measurements
approx 58” circumference, 12 1/2” depth

Butternut DK by Highland Handmades (85% Polwarth, 15% silk; 325 yds 297 m/100 g)
in Bronze Green; 590 yds or 2 skeins

Needles
One 32” circular needle in the following sizes:
US 5 3.75 mm
US 6 4 mm
or sizes needed to obtain gauge

Notions
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle

Gauge
17 1/2 sts and 33 rnds = 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needle, after lace blocking

Lace is charted only; pattern requires knowledge of increasing, decreasing, and every-row lace. Blocking is a must.
