Finished Measurements
59 1/2” (151.5 cm) wingspan by 22” (56 cm) depth at deepest point

Yarn
C1 and C3: Casco by One Lupine/Maine Yarn and Fiber Supply (70% superwash merino, 10% Tussah silk, 10% bamboo, 10% nylon; 434 yds (397 m) / 4 oz (113 g)): 1 skein each in colors Hush (C1) and Carbon (C3)
C2: Eastport by One Lupine/Maine Yarn and Fiber Supply (80% merino, 20% silk; 430 yds (393 m) / 4 oz (113 g)): 1 skein in color Bronze Age

Needles
32-60” (80-150 cm) circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed
Suggested size: US 4 (3.5 mm)

Gauge
26 sts and 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch, after lace blocking.
Because pi shawls work due to the variable and elastic nature of knitting, your gauge will vary quite a bit over different areas of the shawl. Taken in the rows directly following an increase row, it will be more stitches per inch or cm; taken in the rows directly before an increase row, it will be fewer stitches per inch or cm. The gauge for this shawl was taken from the center rows of a section for least possible influence from these increase rows.
