Introduction to Brioche

Brioche is an versatile stitch that creates a lush, drapey, warm fabric. In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the basic principles of working brioche flat and in the round. You will learn how to increase and decrease in pattern and will get started on knitting one of Bristol’s wrap patterns, Hey Little Song Bird.

Participants must be able to knit, purl, increase & decrease.

Please bring with you:
Approximately 65 meters (70 yards) of worsted weight yarn and 4.50 mm (US7) needles for swatching and practicing.
Plus, 730 meters (800 yards) of sport or DK weight yarn and 6.50 mm (US10 1/2) needles for the stole.
